Concrete Floor Prep

Concrete Grinding & Repair

Our surface prep and concrete repair services can preserve and improve your concrete. We utilize a multi-step grinding process to smooth and level concrete surfaces. We also repair cracks, spalling and chipped concrete.

Resurfacing and Preparation

From industrial facilities to offices and homes, concrete work often needs to be improved. Polished concrete floors require a certain level of grinding before they can truly be polished. Grinding and polishing concrete is a multi-step process, and a necessity before staining or dying concrete.

Concrete Grinding

We use specially designed equipment with abrasive pads to grind down imperfections. Using a progressively finer abrasive pad we are able to smooth out the surface of the concrete. As a preparation for stains or dyes, grinding "opens up" the concrete to facilitate optimal penetration of the color. With deeper penetration your colored concrete will last longer than a simple surface film of color.

Concrete Polishing

Concrete polishing is done to give concrete a very smooth finish, and results in a shiny, reflective luster. Although most polished concrete floors are stained or dyed, some are finished with only a clear topcoat. Polished concrete floors should have a protective finish applied to mitigate issues with stains, and to facilitate low maintenance needs.

Repair and Restoration

Concrete Leveling

For many reasons concrete floors may need to be leveled. Typically the surface of the concrete has not been level from the time it was poured. In some cases, the soild below has settled and the concrete has dropped. For minor surface leveling we offer leveling products, and concrete grinding. Most concrete leveling products are used to prep a floor prior to the installation of a flooring system such as tile, carpet, and hardwood flooring. Floors improved with a self leveling overlay can be polished, and enhanced with stains or dyes.

For concrete sections that have broken off or substantially dropped the solutions are removal and replacement, or mudjacking. We do not offer mudjacking services however; we can work with your on replacing damaged concrete.

Concrete Repair

Older concrete often needs repair for aestetic and safety reasons. Common concrete repairs we complete are for cracks, spalling, chipping and damaged sections of concrete. Many of these repairs require saw cutting, removal and replacement of concrete.
